Follow Your Soul

Shh…Do you hear that?

Turn off your devices, have seat and be silent. Explore, wander or be still in nature and observe. Tap into your senses and the world around you. Look, listen, feel and smell. Really take it all in. What do you notice? How do you feel? Now, tap into your body. It can feel awkward at first. Go a little deeper. Do you hear it?

That’s your soul guiding you, showing you the way, but many have forgotten how to listen to its wisdom and guidance.

Connecting and listening to your soul takes you inward, out of the noise and chaos, back home to the core of who you really are, not who the world has told you to be.

Reconnecting with and following your soul is a journey of discovery, learning, unlearning, awakening and healing. It’s a practice. It’s a way of living. It’s a lifestyle.

We’re connected to technology entirely too much. Connected to devices, social media, news, advertisements and marketing telling us what to buy and who to be in a empty quest for happiness and purpose. We listen to family, friends, colleagues and even strangers for direction, instead of listening within and following our own divine guidance and wisdom.

We’ve lost our connection to the earth, to each other, to our bodies, to source and to our own soul. We make the mistake of thinking humans are the only beings to learn from and follow.

Nature has a lot to teach us and seeks nothing in return. You can learn a lot from observing plants, animals, insects, the changing seasons and the earth itself, but instead we listen to whomever the media circus and algorithms are promoting this week.

It’s not a surprise, so many are lost, depressed, addicted, medicated, numb, or have chronic pain and/or chronic illnesses.

We, as a society, have been disconnected for a long time; burying trauma and truth, to keep the peace and maintain the status quo, but our souls aren’t at peace.

Our souls know the truth.

Decades, if not centuries, of conditioning and programming have taught us to disconnect. Our patriarchal, colonized and capitalist societies have taught us that hustle and grind culture, and the continuous quest for bigger and better are the only acceptable way to live. It’s time to rethink how we’re living and question the beliefs we’ve been taught. It’s time to explore and restore our connection to the earth, to source, to our bodies and to our soul.

This doesn’t happen overnight or in the same way for everyone. The journey inward, to your soul and the unlearning to get there is not one size fits all. We each have our own unique path, different lessons to learn, and beliefs to let go of. It often requires us to slow the f*ck down, disconnect from our devices, and connect to our body and to nature.

Truth resonates. It’s a vibration, an echo.

There is no one sole path. There is no one way or right way. The path back home, to your soul, is unique to you, but you’ll find it a little faster if you get out of your head, and into your body and feel your way there.
