It Starts With You
IT STARTS WITH YOU
CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU
HEALING STARTS WITH YOU
THE POWER IS IN YOUR HANDS
We live in a world screaming for change and in urgent need of healing.
The change and healing you seek, and that the world so desperately needs, starts with you. That’s right with you, not with your partner, kids, neighbours, or colleagues, but with you.
Change and healing starts with you.
Many people are pointing fingers expecting others to change without looking within and taking responsibility for the change and healing they can do in their own life, in their own family, or in their own local community.
Some people are waiting and hoping someone else will step up and take the lead, not realizing the change and healing they seek starts with them–that they are the one who is uniquely positioned to rise and lead, no matter how much that scares them.
Other individuals are in vast denial, with their head in the sand, not open or accepting that any change or healing needs to take place. They like things exactly the way they are, not conscious of the soup of toxicity, repression and trauma they are living in, and continuously perpetuating.

YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAN YOU KNOW
When you choose a path of change and healing, you open a door allowing others to do the same. One person choosing change and healing lays a foundation, creates a path and gives others permission to do the same.
Change and healing starts with the choices and changes you make in your personal life. Those choices and changes create a ripple effect, flowing into all aspects of your life, with the power to influence those around you.
Whether you want to make a few changes in your personal life, help your community, or make an impact on a much larger scale, change and healing starts with you. Stop waiting. The power is in your hands.

Somatic unLearning
Unlearning begins with an awareness of what is happening within your body at the present moment. Don’t try to change anything, unless you feel uncomfortable. Go at your own pace. If something doesn’t feel right, pause, go back a question, skip a question or stop the exercise and return at another time. If you don’t notice anything, simply notice and acknowledge that.
1) What do you notice in your body when you think about change and healing starting with you?
Yikes, that’s a lot isn’t? Notice what rises, even for a moment. Now, let’s pause, if it’s available to you take a breath, orient to the present moment and ground. Let’s begin again, this time connect to your body and the present moment.
2) What do you notice in your body when you think about healing?
3) What do you notice in your body when you thing about change?
4) Is there a difference between what you notice in your body when you think about healing versus when you think about change? What’s the difference you notice?
Healing can not occur without some degree of change.
5) What do you notice in your body when you think about change and healing being paired, that healing can not occur without some degree of change?
6) Revisit change. What do you notice it your body when you think about change? Is there a difference between now and when you thought about change in question 3? What’s the difference you notice?
